“S0S: GENERACIÓN SIN EMPLEO”

Un grupo de jóvenes emprendedores canarios, especializados en el sector audiovisual y con ayuda de una ONG internacional, han decidido realizar el docu-ficción “SOS: GENERACIÓN SIN EMPLEO”.

En este docu-ficción analizarán la elevada tasa de desempleo juvenil que hay Canarias (70%) con sus verdaderos protagonistas: jóvenes desempleados, colectivos juveniles, empresarios, representantes políticos, couch juvenil, coordinadora de creación de empresa de la Cámara de Comercio y profesora de escuela de taller del Inem. Todos ellos para contar con una representación amplia de la sociedad a base de testimonios.

Training course Arab Spring also available in 2013

Two CIIC volunteers – Lucia from Slovakia and Tomek from Poland and two members of CIIC – Javier from Spain and Kriss from Lithuania (as a trainer) have been participating in the EUROMED training in Jericho, Palestine, organized by Juzoor for Health and Social Development – International youth Training Course project entitled “Arab Spring Also Available in 2013”. The launching ceremony was presented by Dr Salwa Najjab – Director of Juzoor, Absal Nussiebeh – Head of International Department of the Higher Council for Youth and Sport in Palestine, and Dr Izzat Ayyoub – Task Manager from the European Commission Delegation in Jerusalem.

Meeting with group of Gestor Turistico.

Members of Intercultural Centre of Color Ideas met with group of Gestor Turistico Digital at University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Meeting had two parts. Firstly we presented our European Voluntary service, the main idea of EVS, goals, tasks and all important informations. Than the group of Gestor Turistico Digital presented to us their interactiv project.

Stability in Europe? Education is the key.

To evaluate year 2012, it has been an year full of discussions about Erasmus Exchange program; the program which is one of the most widely known in the world. We celebrated the 25th anniversary of Erasmus program in Europe. More than 2,5 millions of young people have had an opportunity to travel abroad through Erasmus. Such an experience have changed their lives, they have become more open-minded, flexible and modern Europeans.

The School Day of Non-violence and Peace

The School Day of Non-violence and Peace (or DENIP), is an observance and support for a pacifying and non-violent education of a permanent character. Different as the first proposed by the UNESCO “Armistice Day” in 1948, the “School Day of Non-violence and Peace” (DENIP) is observed on January 30 or thereabouts every year, on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi, in schools all over the world. Its basic and permanent message is: “Universal love, non-violence and peace. Universal love is better than egoism, non-violence is better than violence, and peace is better than war”. In Navarra the slogan for the 2009 was “above all, we are friends” (Spanish:”Por encima de todo, somos amigos”). DENIP and World Association of Early Childhood Educators (AMEI-WAECE) collaborate to celebrate this event in the schools of the latter worldwide.

We did it! International Volunteer Day (IVD)

International Volunteer Day (IVD) took place in San Telmo Park of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on December 5th, 2012. The official opening started with the inauguration speech of the General Director of Youth of the Canary Islands, Doña Estefania Castro Chavez, the European project coordinator of Centro Intercultural Ideas de Colores Kristina Cernousovaite and the President of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Don José Miguel Bravo de Laguna
